ART ON CANVAS: SYMPHONY

Well its Sunday and I got that artistic feeling flowing once again.  This piece is for all the artist out there who caught a piece didn't know what the fuck they were doin kinda like went with the flow.  Creativity picks its seasons and thats the season we have here, a simple painting with lots of energy behind it.  Tell me what you think.

My Sketch Book: some simple patterns

I get so many ideas from just getting down in the sketch book and letting go.  Have alot of drawings like this in Georgia,  I hate  filling them in so I leave them the way they are, their like blueprints to some other abstract paintings.

ART ON CANVAS: Untilted

From time to time I love to just throw something down without naming, plus I'm to fond of this this one but its still a form of release.  By the way madness here don't mean actually madness like crazy but what it means is.. a field of colors going wild, though I love to paint when I' upset its not all the time.  Enjoyed painting this and maybe you can find a name for it. www.twitter.com/derrickpoetry

ART ON CANVAS: SOCIALIZE

Another smaller piece, I'm not to excited about this one here though, when I started it I was on the roll until I kept coming back adding different colors. Oil and acrylic paints.

ART ON CANVAS: EMOTIONS

My first piece two years ago, I sold it to someone on the street and they surprised at my price. Creating this was fun because I just went with my own flow and let go as far creativity. I think all abstract should be evenly placed on the canvas, my only rule, well atleast I try.

ART ON CANVAS: BLOSSOM

Look at the all the colors right? This started off as a piece full of strange designed flowers and other small things as well. When I first to paint it the first layer looked totally different from the what it looks like now, I also took the liberty of making huge lumps or hand fulls of paint to give it this personal look and feel. Each section should represent a different prospective depending on where you are looking. anabstractworld@yahoo.com

ART ON CANVAS: PATRIOT

Sorry no glaze for this one here but I will get some in the can and give it a few coats. I love the raw solid look here and really don't want to ruin the moment by making it shine to much. Also, there is alot of love in this piece and also alot of pride and pleasure for the topic. This painting represents in a artistic form of the American flag and her beautiful colors. anabstractworld@yahoo.com

ART ON CANVAS: FUSION

Had alot of tension going on this day and I just had to channel it the best way I know how to and that's through the wonderful world of art. The jazz was screaming out the radio that night and you could here the distant traffic out the window and the numerous sounds of civilization out side:) This piece was very fun to paint mainly because I just let go and threw the shit on in some rage I would need three or four paragraphs to explain, but I am sure you are understanding what I am saying right? Man I sure didn't want glaze it I loved it just the way it was, vibrant and raw with only its natural skin. But everything has to be safe under some skin so I glazed it anyway, though I don't have the pictures of the new and glazed yet. If you are interested in this piece you could send me a message through e-mail. anabstractworld@yahoo.com

ART: MORNING HAVEN

This title means exactly what it says. In the morning or the middle of the night I wake in a panic; I have episodes of anxiety attacks that at the present moment I am not taking medication for.. do deal with the problem and until I am done my self research art seems to pull out that tension. At the break of morning when the sun was hinting from the sky waking up in one of my panic attacks, there is always paint and canvas when I can by my bed on the floor. This morning I painted rapid and let the mood and current feeling take control like with all my paintings, created a pair of wings in my mind and just let them fly all over the canvas. Here are the results of one and many of those nights and mornings and this really helps deal with the problem more than medication I took as a child. Whatever I paint I treasure as my child and let it go the same.. always glancing at its picture, hoping someone is taking care of it because it was very personal to create.

ART: SNOWFLAKES IN SPRING

Think this is one of the most busiest winters since 1996 in my part of the world. You can't even walk down the street better though, I found something creative out the situation and it feels like I snapped my fingers and here winter is moving out and spring is slowly closing in. Nature is wonderful and vibrant in the spring and fall and I wanted to express my love for them all.
This piece hopefully to you should stand out like a bright thump and literally jump out at you right in your face. My mom loved this piece and most likely this will be hanging on her wall as soon as shes ready for it.

ART: REBELLION

Anger can sometimes turn folks into something you do not want to be, why not channel that anger into a piece of canvas and stand back each day knowing someone enjoyed your emotions rather than endured them. A wave of numerous dark colors here and they are not represented to mean darkness but simply a light out the dark mood. Do you understand? my mom looked at this piece and ask me what the hell it was and I looked at her and said.. can't tell me you would think I am crazy. This painting was painted over another painting that I was not satisfied with. On our journeys of discovering different techniques on how to sell my art or just advertise it I see that alot of folks are happy knowing someone enjoys your work and will tolerate looking at it every single day until its gone, lost, or given away. When I get into the mood of art I am like a woman with her soap operas, only taking breaks when there are commercials which for me means when someone rings the bell, the phone rings, etc. I just didn't give a shit with this piece here.. man I just I just threw the shit on there and walked away and didn't even look at it to see if I liked it or not, the first time I really even looked at hard is when my aunt brought it to my attention that this was one of the strangest pieces they have ever saw done by me. Artistic we tend to give our anger back to something artistic than something destructive, and while we are it add some love to ourselves by the act as well others hopefully.

ART: PARTY

I love to paint, I also love to break the rules a little though there are rearly rules in art unless we make them as we sour through history. When I painted this piece here I was in a modest mood, I won't forget because I painted a room full of paintings that day and each one sold the same day when I walked them on the street. This one was saved because of the detail and time took and also all the extra love. Some don't realize all the extra love you put into something, some only wanna know who you are and also if you have any your work show cased in galleries. These paintings are my finger print I tell others: Moving, living, breathing. I never went to school to perfect the craft but I did take in numerous other abstract painters. Never taking from each style I come across but simply adding to the brain simple ideas: strokes, patterns, images within images. What I am thinking of at the moment also plays a role in my work. Another artist said this, but I also don't like shit loads of art sitting around everywhere neither, to the point where you bumping into your stuff just looking at it, get rid of it.. start with the community, train operaters, cooks, etc. I am not in the business of be exploited by any who see me as being marketable :) I have a brain I will market myself.
